Police say a man is accused of breaking into a police officer's house on Catherine Drive in Selden Monday.

Police say a man is accused of breaking into a police officer's house on Catherine Drive in Selden Monday.
They say Franklin Almonte, 25, broke into the home of an off-duty Nassau County officer by going through a kitchen window around 1 p.m.
The officer, who has been on the force for more than 15 years, identified himself as a police officer. The suspect then took off.
Almonte was quickly restrained by the officer then arrested.
