Police: Drunk driver crashed into ambulette, killing patient

A Locust Valley man is accused of driving drunk and causing a deadly ambulette crash.

A Locust Valley man is accused of driving drunk and causing a deadly ambulette crash.
Police say the ambulette was on Walnut Road in Glen Cove last night with its lights and sirens on when it was hit by a Cadillac. The ambulette overturned.
Inside was a 85-year-old man who was on his way to the hospital. Police say he e did not survive.
The Cadillac driver, Alvaro Gutierrez-Garcia, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
