Newsday: Donations save fall sports at Wyandanch schools

Wyandanch Union Free School District has raised enough money to begin fall sports programs, Newsday reports.

Wyandanch Union Free School District has raised enough money to begin fall sports programs, Newsday reports.
It needed $350,000 to save boys and girls teams because of recent budget cuts.
 
Donations and a grant from Suffolk police totaled more than $278,000.
On Wednesday, the School Board will formally vote on accepting the donations.
