Prosecutors: Hauppauge choir teacher abuses student inside home

Posted: Updated:

A Hauppauge teacher has been charged with sexually abusing a student.

Prosecutors say choir teacher Mark Kimes abused a then-16-year-old boy at his home in Moriches back in 2017.

The accuser is now 18 years old.

Kimes was arrested earlier this month.

Prosecutors also say the teacher provided alcohol to the victim and two other minors.

They say he also allowed the victim smoke marijuana in his home.
