A Hollywood star is using his fame, and money, to fight wildfires in the Amazon rainforest.
Leonardo DiCaprio's new environmental fund, Earth Alliance, is pledging $5 million to help save the Amazon.
Fires have surged in the Amazon this year, and the world's largest rainforest is burning at its highest rate since 2013.
Brazil's National Institute for Space Research says more than one and a half soccer fields of rainforest scorches every minute of every day.
The Amazon produces 20 percent of earth's oxygen and is often referred to as "the planet's lungs."
