Police say they're searching for an armed robber who held up a gas station in Yaphank Friday night.

Investigators say they were called to the Shell gas station on Sills Road around 11 p.m.

News 12 is told a man wearing a red and black mask was armed with a handgun.

Police say he walked into the shop and demanded cash and cigarettes from the clerk.

Surveillance video from the gas station captured the encounter. A clerk tells News 12 that the suspect showed up with his own bag to take the proceeds.

Police believe the robbery may be related to other ongoing investigations.

No arrests have been made so far. Anyone with information is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
