How do you define a talent overload?
It starts with a musical all-star extravaganza led by Ringo Starr.
Starr and His All Starr Band captivated the sold-out audience for two uninterrupted hours Saturday evening at the Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater at Bald Hill in Farmingville.
His current "starrs" include:
Hamish Stuart, of the Average White Band
Steve Lukather, of Toto
Gregg Rolie, of Santana and Journey
Gregg Bissonette, of the David Lee Roth band
Colin Hay, of Men at Work
Warren Ham
The former Beatle sang some of his own classic songs, including a singalong version of "It Don't Come Easy," along with other classic Beatles tunes (see the set list below).
His band also sang their own popular hits.
Gregg Rolie, founding member of Santana and Journey, played an explosive version of "Evil Ways" and "Oye Como Va," while Steve Lukather, of Toto, performed "Rosanna" and "Africa."
Hamish Stuart, of the Average White Band, performed "Picking Up The Pieces," and Colin Hay wowed the crowd with "Down Under," "Overkill," and "Who Can It Be Now."
