Police: Man in fedora robs Miller Place bank

Police have obtained clear footage of the man who robbed a bank in Miller Place Monday afternoon.

They say the man entered the Chase bank in a shopping center on Route 25A around 2:40 p.m.

Surveillance photos show a clear picture of the man with a dark beard wearing dark-rimmed glasses, a fedora, a blue shirt and jeans. He appears to be in his 20s or 30s.

Police say the man displayed a note to a teller demanding money.

They say he left on foot, heading toward Miller Place Road.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
