Wednesday night’s summer storm brought wind, rain, thunder and lightning across Long Island.

Wednesday night’s summer storm brought wind, rain, thunder and lightning across Long Island.
A viewer in Great Neck sent News 12 footage of a tree struck by lightning in Russell Gardens, that then came down on power lines and started a fire.
Park Avenue in Long Beach became flooded with several inches of water on the road.
And a transformer caught fire in East Meadow, bringing a tree down.
There may be a spotty shower or storm Thursday afternoon, but most of the day is expected to remain dry.
Friday, and the entire weekend is expected to see mostly sunny conditions, low humidity and highs in the 80s.
