Unopened Nintendo game from ‘87 sells for $9K

WOODBURY -

An unopened and sealed copy of Kid Icarus, a Nintendo game from the 1980s, sold online for $9,000.

The cult-classic game was first released in 1987.

Since then, it's become one of the hardest Nintendo Entertainment System games to find in sealed condition.

The person who sold the copy says he recently found it in the attic of his childhood home in Reno, Nevada.

He says he's splitting the money with his sister, and that they'll use the cash to take their families to Disney World.
