Police: Albertson woman drowns during paddle boarding class in Southold

Police say an Albertson woman drowned in Southold during a paddle boarding class.

It happened Friday morning on Hashamomuck Pond. Police say Lisa Margaritis, 48, was helping another woman when her board got stuck on a bridge piling and she fell into the water.

Margaritis was rushed to a nearby hospital but could not be saved.
