A new study shows that retiring in certain cities can improve life expectancy.
The Westchester County city of Yonkers was rated as most likely to improve life expectancy, adding an estimated 1.26 years.
Asheville and Wilmington, North Carolina, Bridgeport, Connecticut and Lancaster, Pennsylvania round out the top 5.
Las Vegas and Salt Lake City lowered life expectancy.
The National Bureau of Economic Research considered factors, like education, homicide rates and overall health.
