Firefighters rescue stranded dog from Bridgeport roof

A dog was rescued off of the roof of a home in Bridgeport.

A dog was rescued off the roof of a home in Bridgeport.
The incident happened Sunday at around 6 p.m. on Scofield Avenue in the Black Rock section of the city, according to witnesses.
Cellphone video shows firefighters using a ladder to access the roof and then rescue the dog.
The dog was brought down safely.
Firefighters say the dog drank two bowls of water after he was rescued. The downstairs neighbor watched the dog until the owner got home.
