CENTEREACH -

Officials say residents in Centereach managed to escape a raging house fire Saturday night.

They say firefighters were called to Hammond Road around 11 p.m. Officials say five fire departments were called to the scene.

Officials say all five people who lived in the home evacuated safely, along with their pets.

The owners tell News 12 they were asleep when they heard a firework explode in their backyard -- before the fire erupted.

No injuries were reported.

Officials are working to determine the cause of the fire.
