Police say a mother and daughter were rescued while kayaking in the Long Island Sound Friday night.

Police say a mother and daughter were rescued while kayaking in the Long Island Sound Friday night.
They say Noreen McLoughlin and her 19-year-old daughter, Dana, left Sunken Meadow Beach in their kayak around 8 p.m.
News 12 is told the wind became too strong and the pair had trouble paddling back to shore.
Marine Bureau officers were able to find them with help from their cellphone light.
No injuries were reported.
