Long Islanders urged to help victims as Barry batters Louisiana

The Red Cross is already assisting people impacted by Barry – the tropical storm battering Louisiana.

Neela Lockel says immediate relief is needed and Long Island residents can help.

“You can make a donation to the American Red Cross. You can also indicate that it's for Tropical Storm Barry,” she told News 12.

Anyone with family in the affected area is urged to ask them to download the Red Cross Emergency app that has relief resources, warnings and updates.
