MANHATTAN -

Fans lined lower Broadway in New York City Wednesday to celebrate the U.S. women’s national soccer team.

The team – including Rockville Centre’s Crystal Dunn - was honored with a ticker tape parade, and News 12's Kevin Maher was there for all of the excitement.

Some fans came as early as 2 a.m. to see the women they consider heroes. Many also brought homemade inspirational signs.

After the parade, a ceremony was held at City Hall to honor the team.
