A worker in Commack got himself into a sticky situation Tuesday.

First responders with Commack Rescue Ambulance say they got a call just before 1 p.m. about an industrial mixer accident at Simply Natural Foods on Mall Drive.

They say the 37-year-old worker had fallen into a 20,000-pound tank full of chocolate while working. The company, Simply Natural Foods, makes Simply Lite chocolate bars and other candies.

EMT Mike Hoddinott says fellow workers pulled the man out of the 8-foot vat and called 911.

First responders say the worker was scared, but they knew he was going to be all right when he started making jokes about his sweet predicament.

The worker was taken to Southside Hospital with an arm injury.
