Crews help rescue kitten stuck in fence pole

CENTRAL ISLIP -

A kitten that was found stuck in a steel fence pole was saved this morning.

A mother and her son found the kitten trapped in the fence pole at around 7:45 a.m.

The mother and her son went to the Central Islip Fire Department for assistance. Crews were able to return to the scene to get the kitten out of the fence pole.

The kitten is now at an animal hospital getting checked out.
