Police: Man drove drunk, crashes with nephew in car

HUNTINGTON STATION -

A Huntington Station man is accused of driving drunk and crashing with his young nephew in the vehicle.

Investigators say Gene Hamid collided with a Jeep at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Gerard Street in Huntington around 4 p.m. Friday.

Officials say two people in the Jeep were injured.

News 12 is told Hamid's 13-year-old nephew was not among those injured.

Hamid was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday.
