EAST FARMINGDALE -

Suffolk police say a raging fire that gutted a garage in East Farmingdale was sparked by illegal fireworks.

Suffolk's Arson Squad determined that illegal fireworks being set off near the garage caused the fire.

There was no word on whether any charges would be filed.
