Local military group re-enacts ‘Occupied Long Island’ in Old Bethpage

A trip back in time to 1776 -- when Long Island was under British occupation during the Revolutionary War.

It's an important chapter in Long Island history, brought to life by a local military re-enactment group.

News 12 Photojournalist Tom Franz brings News 12 the story of "Occupied Long Island" at Old Bethpage Village Restoration.

At the restoration, the Huntington Militia re-enacts battles and dresses in clothing of the 18th century.

The Huntington Militia is looking for re-enactors who would like to get involved.
