WYANDANCH -

Police confirmed that a short police pursuit ended with an arrest and an injured officer in Wyandanch Sunday night.

Brooklyn Avenue between South 34th Street and Little East Neck Road was closed by the police in the evening.

Police took one man in handcuffs to a patrol car and searched door-to-door with police canines.

Magandy Reymoso, a neighbor in the area, says he heard a car crash from his backyard. Reymoso also says he saw officers helping another hurt officer to walk on the scene.

Police confirmed that the one officer was treated for a minor injury.

The identity of the arrested person has not been released.
