Bridge Academy dedicates tree to slain 12-year-old student

A tree was planted at Bridge Academy on Saturday in honor of a student who was fatally shot outside his home.
Clinton Howell's family is still reeling after the 12-year-old was shot twice in Bridgeport six months ago.
"To get the phone call that my little brother has been shot--I couldn't gather how was that possible," said Gamel Dawkins.
A tree was planted in Howell's honor as part of a celebration at the end of the school year to pay tribute to the seventh grader.
The family says they are grateful to the students, faculty and principal of Bridge Academy for all their support.
"It really just makes us feel better to know that Clinton was loved," Dawkins said. "Not only from his family but also his extended family."
