State police searched a pond in Avon during the ongoing effort to find Jennifer Dulos – a mother of five from New Canaan who disappeared nearly three weeks ago.
The investigation focused on Sconsett Pond – a favorite spot where Jennifer’s estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, would take his five children waterskiing. Some of the children are nationally ranked in the sport.
Avon is the town over from where Fotis lives in Farmington.
Fotis and his girlfriend pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Stamford court after being charged with tampering with evidence in the criminal investigation.
Jennifer claimed in divorce filings that her husband put too much pressure on the children to succeed.
State police dog teams and divers searched the pond during the afternoon to search for her body and any other pieces of evidence in the case. Authorities were also searching a wooded area near self-storage units.
Numerous searches in other locations since her disappearance have not yet been successful.
New Canaan police say their dedicated tip line is up to 475 tips received from all over the U.S. and even from Australia. They say requests for surveillance video from the day of Jennifer's disappearance have resulted in 80 videos being shared with police.
