State police: Driver stops attempted sexual assault off New Jersey highway

State police are crediting a good Samaritan with saving a female victim from an attempted sexual assault on I-295 in Mount Laurel.
The incident happened last Thursday around 2:44 p.m. on the northbound exit ramp to State Highway 73.
According to police, John Bishop witnessed the suspect, later identified as Donald Cramer Jr., 52, of Philadelphia, drag the woman into a wooded area off the side of the ramp.

Police say Bishop stopped his vehicle on the shoulder and went into the woods to help. He saw the victim struggling with the man and intervened.
Police arrived and arrested Cramer.
The female victim sustained injuries that are not life-threating and was taken to a hospital.

Cramer was charged with kidnapping and criminal attempted sexual assault, among other charges.
Police say there might be more victims.
