Gaming commission approves legal sports betting at upstate casinos

WOODBURY -

Sports betting will soon be allowed at four casinos in New York.

New York's Gaming Commission has approved new regulations.

The new regulation would allow wagering at Resorts World Catskills in Monticello, Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady, Tioga Downs in the Southern Tier and Del Lago Resort and Casino in the Finger Lakes.

The first bets could be placed later this summer.
