After a mainly dry morning, showers moved in Monday afternoon - some of which dumped quite a bit of rain across the Island. News 12 meteorologists will be tracking those showers through the overnight period, including scattered thunderstorms.

Monday saw temperatures that were around 70 degrees on average, and overnight temperatures are expected to only drop a few degrees into the mid-60s. It will also be on the muggy side.

Pockets of heavy rain are possible through Tuesday morning, but skies will clear from west to east during the mid-to-late morning. Expect breezy conditions with sunshine during the afternoon, with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s.
