RONKONKOMA -

Police say a father and son came to Lake Shore Plaza in Ronkonkoma to sell another man a motorbike, but things turned violent when the would-be buyer attacked the father.

Police say the attacker tried to leave with the motorbike, but the son hit him. It happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Portion Road shopping center.

Plaza employees say they noticed the commotion once police got to the scene.

Police say the father, son and the buyer were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. The father and son were treated and released, and the buyer was in critical condition.

Plaza workers say they think the Friday's attack was an isolated incident.
