Police: Street shootout ends with no injuries, 3 arrests

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a shootout on a central New Jersey street didn't injure anyone but led to three arrests.

Monmouth County prosecutors say the gunfire erupted around 4:45 p.m. Monday in Neptune Township. Police responded following numerous 911 calls and found evidence that several weapons had been fired.

Authorities say 30-year-old Corey Gibson, of Tinton Falls; Xavier Harbison, an 18-year-old Neptune resident, and a 15-year-old Neptune City boy all fired shots at each other, but didn't say what sparked the shootout.

The two adults were each charged with conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder and weapons counts. The teen is charged with two counts of attempted murder, weapons charges and hindering apprehension.

It wasn't known Wednesday if any of the three have retained attorneys.
