Labcorp says its fallen victim to a data breach -- and may have exposed the information of almost eight million patients.

The breach comes just days after Quest Diagnostics announced 12 million patients were affected by a data breach.

According to the company, the consumers were affected by a breach at third-party collections firm American Medical Collection Agency.

The breach happened between Aug. 1, 2018, and March 30, 2019.

Information that could have been exposed includes names, addresses, dates of birth and balance information.

AMCA is the same collections firm that worked with Quest Diagnostics.
