There are reports that lightning struck a man and a home as a wild storm moved across Long Island Sunday night.
On the South Shore, a massive, old tree crushed a fence on Deauville Boulevard in Copiague.
Meanwhile, the force of the storm toppled many giant trees, including in Islip Terrace around 6 p.m.
A house was also struck by lightning in Mount Sinai shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Dairy Lane.
There are no reports of any injuries there, but fire officials say a man was hit by lightning on Ocean Avenue in the Village of Northport.
There is no word on his condition.
