MASSAPEQUA -

A Massapequa woman woke up to find a masked man climbing into her bedroom window early Wednesday morning.

Nassau County detectives say it happened around 3:30 a.m. on Franklin Avenue.

Police say the woman screamed and kicked at the man, who then threw her to the ground and kept her from calling for help. They say the man climbed back out the window and ran away. The woman's knee was hurt during the incident.

Neighbors say the incident has them feeling uneasy.

Police say the intruder was last seen wearing a black mask, gray baseball hat, sweatshirt, blue jeans and tan work boots.
