Road repairs begin after water main break in Melrose

Some Melrose residents are dealing with a massive cleanup after a water main break on their block Tuesday.
The pipe has been fixed and water restored to the buildings on the block, but now crews have to fix the street that was brought up by the water.
Waves of water were spewing from a main that broke from under the ground along Wales Avenue and West 150th Street.
Con Edison trucks, which have been on the scene since Tuesday, are now making sure the power stays up and running.
First responders told News 12 at least one apartment flooded with 6 feet of water.
No injuries were reported.
The road remains closed off and the Department of Environmental protection is investigating the cause of the break.
