The Bethpage Air Show has returned to Jones Beach State Park for its 16th year, with high-flying stunts and incredible performances in the skies! Here's everything you need to know before heading to the beach.
WHEN: The two-day air show kicked off Saturday, May 25, and continues Sunday, May 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. But get there early -- parking fills up quickly!
WHO'S PERFORMING: Military performers include the
Golden Knights,
U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds,
B-17 Yankee Lady,
US Navy F-18 Super Hornet, and a
US Coast Guard Search & Rescue Demonstration. Civilian performances will include the
GEICO Skytypers,
American Airpower Museum Warbirds,
Bayport Aerodrome Society,
David Windmiller,
John Klatt Airshows/Jack Links' Screamin' Sasquatch,
Matt Chapman,
Red Bull Aerobatic Helicopter,
Farmingdale State College Aviation, and
Team Oracle: Sean D. Tucker and Jessy Panzer.
PARKING: As we noted, parking fills up quickly -- so arrive bright and early. The Bethpage Air Show has a new mobile app that lets you sign up for notifications on parking and more. To get the app, text "AIRSHOW" to 484848, or get more information at the

HOW MUCH: Event entry is free, but parking costs $10.
SECURITY: Expect K-9 units, tactical teams in camouflage, cement barriers and trucks positioned to keep crowds safe, and more security measures at the event. You can

IS THERE A VIP EXPERIENCE? Obviously! The
Jones Beach Chalet lets guests take in the show from a private beachfront area for Chalet ticketholders only. It includes meals, beverage service, a parking pass and use of private restroom facilities. More information is available at the

CROWD SIZE: According to organizers, about 207,000 people turned out on Saturday alone for the 2018 Air Show.
