Matthew Solomon, one of Long Island's most notorious killers, was released on parole Tuesday morning from the upstate Otisville prison in Orange County.

The Huntington Station man served nearly 30 years for murdering his wife Lisa on Christmas Eve 1987.

Solomon led Long Islanders on a bogus search for his new bride, whose body was eventually found in a field on Pulaski Road, where he had dumped her.

The victim's family says they're devastated by the release.

"If he killed once, he could kill again," Howard Klerk, the victim's uncle, told News 12 over the phone. "He may not be a threat necessarily for our family, but he's obviously a threat for somebody because he's a womanizer, he's a sociopath."

Solomon will reportedly by living with his mother in the Binghamton area. He'll have to undergo schooling, cannot drink alcohol and must report any relationship he has to his parole officer.
