Nassau County police say one person was taken into custody in connection with a stabbing in Baldwin.

The stabbing happened in a Loft Avenue home around 4:15 p.m. Monday. Investigators closed down the street for several hours as they collected evidence and took pictures.

Police say two people, a man and woman, were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.

They did not identify the person in custody.

Neighbors say a husband and wife have lived in the home for a little over 15 years and seemed like a quiet couple.
