A Hempstead family is celebrating Mother's Day with a new addition.

Baby Ian was born to first-time father Darwin Eucada and his wife, Roxana.

Eucada says Ian weighs 8  pounds, 12 ounces and is 21 inches long.

Roxana, who also has two other children, says she feels fine and is looking forward to spending this Mother's Day weekend with her newborn.

The parents say they chose the name Ian because the baby would move every time they said that name, and that he stayed still for all their other suggestions.

While Mother's Day won't fall on the same day every year, the couple says they will always remember their first Mother's Day as Ian's parents.
