In the 2018 midterm elections, Democrats made great gains on the state and local levels. The state Assembly turned blue, giving Democrats control of both chambers of the Legislature - in addition to the governorship. On Long Island, six of the nine state legislators are now Democrats. Stone Grissom discusses the political landscape of New York with the chairs of the Nassau County Democratic and Republican parties: Democrat Jay Jacobs and Republican Joe Cairo.
