Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced the creation of a new task force to fight the opioid epidemic Thursday.

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced the creation of a new task force to fight the opioid epidemic Thursday.
Curran says she wants the newly formed Opioid Crisis Task Force to come up with a public report and action plan in the next 90 days.
The task force includes several legislators, drug treatment experts, the Nassau police commissioner of the Nassau District Attorney's Office and a superintendent from the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park school district.
