Police seek Shelter Island vandal who caused $66K in damage

SHELTER ISLAND -

Police are asking the public to help them find a vandal that caused approximately $66,000 worth of damage to park land on Shelter Island.

Police say trees and vegetation were destroyed in the Hay Beach section of Shelter Island, near Menhaden Lane.

It happened in January 2018. No arrests were made.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
