NY radio station 95.5 PLJ to sign off air May 31 after sale

Longtime New York radio station 95.5 PLJ is set to sign off the air in just a few weeks.
The announcement that the station's final broadcast will be May 31, 2019 was made on the Todd & Jayde Morning show Wednesday.
The station, along with six others in the Cumulus Media Inc. family, were sold in a cash deal to Education Media Foundation (EMF) in February. According to Billboard.com, Cumulus delivered WYAY-FM in Atlanta, WPLJ-FM in New York City, KFFG-FM in San Jose, California, WZAT-FM in Savannah, Georgia, WXTL-FM in Syracuse, New York, and WRQX-FM in Washington, DC to contemporary K-LOVE Christian music nonprofit EMF.
Billboard also says that as part of the deal Cumulus entered into a swap agreement with Entercom. As part of that agreement, Cumulus will get three stations in Indianapolis in exchange for three Cumulus stations in two markets.
95.5 PLJ plays Top 40 and contemporary adult music.
