Suffolk County police are offering up to a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a deadly East Patchogue.
On April 28, Alexis Velasquez was fatally struck on Montauk Highway while riding his bicycle.
A memorial of pictures, flowers and candles now sit at the spot where the 30-year-old Velasquez died. Speaking through a translator, the victim's sister Carman says Velasquez loved the beach and fishing in his free time. She wants her brother to be remembered as a humble man.
Police say they believe he was hit by 2013-15 model year Nissan Rogue. They say the vehicle would have front-end damage.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
