The Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL museum in West Sayville got its finishing touches Tuesday.
The museum is named for the Patchogue SEAL who died in 2005 trying to save his team in Afghanistan. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
The movie “Lone Survivor,” starring Mark Wahlberg, was based on his heroics.
The USS Michael Murphy, known as "The Murph," is based at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
Tuesday would have been his 43rd birthday.
