Police say a woman was drunk when she fled a Selden crash Sunday night that injured three people, including a 3-year-old.
Police say Candice Giorlando, 37, was heading westbound on Middle Country Road when she hit a car at the intersection with Blue Point Road and drove off.
Three people in the other car -- two adults and a 3-year-old girl -- were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Officers caught up with Giorlando, but police say she ran off again and was arrested after a second chase.
Giorlando has been charged with DWI and leaving the scene of an accident. She was scheduled to be arraigned Monday, but her hearing was postponed because she was taken to a hospital. She's now expected to be arraigned on Tuesday.
News 12 went to Giorlando's Selden home, but no adults were inside to answer questions.
