Suffolk officer, 2 others hurt in Huntington Station collision

A Suffolk police officer and two other people were hurt in a collision in Huntington Station.
Police say the officer's vehicle had its lights and sirens activated Sunday night, as the officer followed an ambulance on Walt Whitman Road.
News 12 has been told that a car pulled out of the Walt Whitman Mall parking lot and collided with the police SUV.
The officer, the driver and the passenger of the other vehicle were treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
