Police: Car barrels into Mount Sinai senior center, driver arrested for DWI

The Rose Caracappa Senior Center was closed when the car slammed into it.

Police say a driver has been taken into custody after an out-of-control car slammed straight into a senior center in Mount Sinai.
In video obtained by News 12, the car can be seen completely inside the building on Route 25A around 12:30 a.m.
The Rose Caracappa Senior Center was closed when the car slammed into it.
Police say Bruce Brant, of Pennsylvania, was driving drunk.
Brant was taken to a nearby hospital and will be arraigned at a later date.
No one else was hurt during the incident.
The front door of the Rose Caracappa Senior Center was boarded up quickly after the incident, forcing visitors to use a side entrance.
