Carle Place residents say a major Long Island Rail Road construction project is giving them nothing but headaches.
They say the construction has resulted in cracks in their walls, heavy noise, detours and traffic in their neighborhood.
Antonia Pisani took News 12 inside her home to show the cracks in her walls that she says came from the heavy construction across the street. She also says the detours are making life tough on her small street because it's being used as a cut through.

“It’s not fair to residents to take on extra burden when we didn't sign up for this,” she says.

Elisia Ruivo says her house around the corner also has problems. Ruivo, Pisani and a dozen neighbors called on Legislator Laura Schaefer Monday for help. They are hoping they can at least get the MTA or 3TC - the contractor for the third track  - to build a sound wall to keep out the loud noises.
