Police: Motorcyclist struck by 2 cars, including 1 that fled scene

Police say a motorcyclist was struck and seriously injured by two vehicles, including one that fled the scene.
It happened on Pine Aire Drive in North Bay Shore around 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
According to police, 63-year-old James Antonelli was riding east on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he was hit by a car that was pulling out a 7-Eleven parking lot.
Investigators say the crash forced the motorcycle into oncoming traffic, where it was struck again by a 2004 Mercury.
The driver of the Mercury remained at the scene, but police say the other car took off heading west on Pine Aire Drive. The vehicle is described as a black, four-door sedan.
A woman who witnessed the crash says the driver of the sedan appeared to perhaps stop "for a little second" before leaving.
The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
