Stamford school officials have named a new superintendent for the Board of Education.
Deputy Superintendent Dr. Tamu Lucero has been named the new superintendent.
Former Superintendent Earl Kim announced his resignation without explanation on April 12, despite having two years left on his contract.
It's not known if Dr. Lucero will be offered a new contract or fill the time remaining on Kim's current deal.
